We are an Advanced Analytical Service Facility Connecting Scholarly Research

Kersani SAS LAB Sdn Bhd was established in 2024 in order to provide enhanced capabilities in addressing food safety and security, herbal standardization and authentication, omics approaches in diagnostics, personalized precision medicine for health and wellness, and related contract research engagements for the Nation and the Region. It will be a facility that can propel research into traditional herbal products and develop platforms for metabolomics in medical diagnostics and application of herbal remedies; it will serve as a Centre of Excellence for Herbalomics and act as a CRO for drug/herbal research and development, serving the public, academic institutions and private industries.

To be the premier reference laboratory and provider of advanced analytical solutions in herbal standardization and research, as well as personalized precision medicine for Malaysia and the region.
KERSANI SAS Lab is committed to play a major role in creating and promoting safety, health and wellness for the public, as well as promote and accelerate natural products research and drug discovery in Malaysia.
Prof Aishah Abdul Latiff has served as the Director of two Analytical Laboratories (Malaysia and Qatar) over the last 25 years, having developed these laboratories from the planning stage to full operation and fully accredited under ISO/IEC17025 standards, providing analytical services to a multitude of clients. She has successfully created a sustainable lab operation providing services to the private sector and government agencies in areas of food safety and environmental testing.

Dr T Michael Harvey is an analytical chemist with more than 50 years of experience in all aspects of laboratory operations including method development, training, laboratory facilities, health and safety as well as risk and quality management. He is a recognized expert in mass spectrometry (which will be the enabling technology in the facility) and invited lecturer and consultant in various related topics and applications worldwide.
